P-sling NY
Inspired by the idea that a baby sling acts as a second womb, the structure of P-sling
was developed to help parents deepen their bonds with their infant children.
Predominantly influenced by native carriers in Central Asia and South America where
fabric is used to make a mother/father and baby become “as one”, P-sling founders,
Yasukazu and Chizuko Konno created their own version using fine Japanese traditions
of craftsmanship.
As a mother, Chizuko firmly believed that the mood of a parent is transmitted to the baby;
it was therefore very important for a parent to feel happy and comfortable with the sling.
Using light and breathable fabrics Consequently, the “P-sling” baby sling is designed to
engender a natural fulfillment within the parenting experience.

P-sling is exclusively manufactured with 100% natural fabrics: namely, cotton and linen. Psny manufactures and designs their fabrics from scratch, uses strict Japanese techniques of weaving and dying, and also relies on all natural vegetable dyes and pastes. All slings are hand-dyed in their factory in Kyoto where kimono fabrics have been dyed for generations.
